ABOUT DARREN & JENNA

Darren & Jenna have been working professional photographers & filmmakers for the past 25+ years, based in San Diego, California. They met through their involvement with the American Society of Media Photographers & have been friends, colleagues and travel partners ever since. 

Darren's love for adventure began with an eight-month around-the-world ticket when he was in his 20's and he hasn't stopped since, amassing over 30 years of travel experience.  Jenna's began when she visited Italy on a school trip at age 16. She then spent a good portion of her 20's and 30's traveling solo in Africa, the Middle East & Central America. With 58 countries currently in their respective portfolios - plus many more to come - Darren & Jenna decided to combine their professions & their passion to form Gate 58.  

Some of Jenna's professional accomplishments include being selected for the National Geographic Short Film Festival, (2x) PDN Photo Annual - 2017 Winner, and the Chair of the National Board of the American Society of Media Photographers. Her work has been featured in National Geographic Traveler, My Modern Met, Laughing Squid, Colossal and The Discovery Channel. 

Darren has been the President of the American Society of Media Photographers - San Diego Chapter, and he currently works with a variety of high-profile hospitality and architecture clients around the US and Mexico.
